Review: Bond No. 9's Bryant Park

bondno9bryant.jpgWhat They Say: "Bryant Park is the inspiration for and name of Bond No. 9's 28th and most fashion-oriented eau de parfum: a rose-patchouli concoction with pink pepper added for dissonance.

Notes: Lily of the Valley, Rhubarb, Pink Pepper, Rose, Patchouli, Raspberry, Amber"

Melissa Says: In my opinion there's simply no way to fully appreciate this scent unless you get a chance to smell how it develops on your skin. It starts out fairly crisp and has a bit of a floral bite to it, and it then begins to get this incredible spicy but subtle warmth. The patchouli is barely distinguishable, in case that's something that might make you shy away from the description. It all just blends together into a luscious mix, with the raspberry coming through at the end nicely. Overall, this is a flirtatious yet sophisticated fragrance that is not too overpowering (but a little does go a long way).

Retail Price: $125 for 1.7 fl oz (50 ml) or $185 for 3.4 fl oz (100 ml) (at bondno9.com)
