"We were in a beautiful Moon Garden and were captivated by the gorgeous white florals and the shimmering moonlight -- Fleurs de Nuit captures that ethereal and dramatic moment." -- Mark Badgley and James Mischka

What They Say: "Glamorous. Vintage. Elegant. Luminous as the evening sky, this luxurious white floral is radiant with nuances of lush green notes, succulent fruits, and the sophisticated depth of glowing amber. A vintage white floral with a glamorous heart...experience Fleurs de Nuit.

On the Top - Glamorous Fragrant as the evening air Badgley Mischka Fleurs de Nuit opens with fresh florals, including Pristine Magnolia and Quince Blossom, that sparkle with Bergamot and lush green notes.

In the Heart - Vintage Radiant White Florals, Night Blooming Jasmine and Orange Blosso, nuzzle mouth-watering White Peach for an iconic heart.

In the Drydown - Elegant The dry down imparts the depth of night as Silky Woods and Glowing Amber resonate for a captivating sensuality."

Jen's Experience: Last fall, I tried the original Badgley Mischka scent, a rich, musky scent that fit right in with my fall fragrance wardrobe. This season, full of Garden Party eyeshadows and other florals in unexpected places (at least for fall), the new fragrance from Badgley Mischka turns the tables around on the original and brings the florals to the forefront.

Personally, I am always a fan of floral perfumes, but always found them to be a little too bright and sunny for the cooler fall months. This one, though, manages to make a rich fragrance out of white flowers and a hint of musk. The result? A fantastic, unexpected fragrance for the fall season.

Suggested Retail: $90.00, available this October

Fall Product Review: Lulu Beauty Perfume in Starlet

What They Say: "Starlet is feminine magnetism bottled. Velvety white gardenias rest provacatively on a base note of clean, sensual musk to create a sultry fragrance that is both lingering and alluring."

Jen's Experience: I am always drawn to the scent of gardenia. It's the one flower in my yard I can't resist picking just so I can take in the fragrance. This perfume has more than just a hint of gardenia, it's the very essence of it. What's more, instead of the musk that they say is the base note, it almost smells to me to be on a base of honey. The bottle is tiny, but I love the roll-on applicator, which helps me apply it right where I want it. I find this to be the perfect casual fragrance. It's low key, and when I'm wearing it, I feel like the queen bee!

Fall Product Review: Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum

What They Say: "Exclusive premier. Introducing the first parfum by legendary design house Badgley Mischka—a modern, elegant fragrance as sophisticated as their coveted fashions."

  • A spicy-floral fragrance with notes of jasmine, amber, patchouli, and sueded musks.
  • The linear glass bottle features clean, classic lines with a unique stopper.
  • 1.7 or 3.4 ounces.

Also, from Elle Magazine: Mark Badgley and James Mischka always said that when they did their first perfume, Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum en Vaporisateur, their favorite flower, white peony, would be a part. The duo added cassis, make from black currants for "a mouthwatering quality that we loved," Badgley says, and patchouli for a "naughty factor".

Jen's Experience: When I first read about this fragrance in a magazine, I knew it was something that I wanted to try. I went to all my usual haunts -- Sephora, Saks Fifth Avenue, etc -- until finally I learned that Neiman Marcus is selling it exclusively until September 27th. So, sight unseen and scent unsmelled, I ordered it from their site. (Incidentally, I ordered it during their Beauty Event, and it came with one of the best Gift With Purchase bags I've ever gotten: a red patent bag filled with a perfect-for-my-purse-sized Marc Jacob's perfume as well as good sized samples of Estee Lauder, La Prairie, Orlane, Frederic Fekkai, Molton Brown, and Fresh products. I also got a miniature bottle of the Badgley Mischka perfume! Neiman, you may be my new favorite department store for beauty products.)

If someone told me to imagine what "perfume" smells like, I would imagine something very much like the scent of this perfume is like right after I spray it. A very traditional, classic sort of scent. After it mellows a bit, some of the other notes, the Jasmine in particular, become more noticable. This is a musky fragrance, so it's definitely heavier than the perfumes I am used to wearing in the spring and summer time, but it fits in well with my other Fall fragrances, Prada and Very Valentino. It's a fragrance that I think is more suitable for work or formal occasions than for play.

If you're looking for the hot new fragrance, this is it. It should be in other department stores on or around September 27th, so keep and eye out because this is definitely one you'll want to try.

Retail Price: $65/1.7 oz (Neiman Marcus)
