Review: Sharon Bolton Scents

About Truth Perfume Oil: "A refreshing, clean citrus … think tangy lemon-lime … softened by an exotic floral and an airy, sheer musk … fresh like a warm seabreeze!” About Soul Perfume Oil: “Sweet tropical notes that will evoke a memory for your soul. Juicy papaya, luscious pineapple, and creamy coconut with undertones of clean musk. It’s clean enough to sweep you away to the Islands.”
About the Luv Perfume Oil: “An intoxicating, ultimately feminine scent of rare Pink Gardenia, lush Hawaiian white flowers, and a hint of creamy vanilla with a delicate whisper of white musk. What a way to fall in LUV!”
About the Body Lotion: “A rich, luxuriously scented lotion packed with vitamins an an antioxidant that leaves skin silky and glowing year round.”
About the Body Wash: “This pearly, perfumed ‘shower cream’ is lotion enriched with Shea Butter and White Tea leaving skin feeling moisturized and revitalized. The ‘shower cream’ creates a rich, refreshing lather for the shower as well as plenty of bubbles for the bath.”

Toya’s Take: I was impressed from the beginning by Sharon Bolton Scents. The company sent a large black box with the scents beautifully packaged inside – a full-size bottle of Luv perfume oil, body lotion and body wash and samples of the Truth and Soul perfume oils. Sharon Bolton Scents is a fairly new company located in Santa Barbara, CA and the company is committed to giving back through donations to The Muscular Dystrophy Association, Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Teddy Bear Foundation, The Diabetes Association and others. The products are cruelty free and the packaging is 100% recyclable.

After trying all Perfume Oils, I found that I liked them all, particularly Soul and Luv. Truth is a light, springy scent, but citrus isn’t exactly my thing. However, I would wear it at a time when I was in a very good, light-hearted mood or when I wanted to put myself in such a mood. Soul is my kind of scent – tropical, sweet but not overpowering, and clean. I feel like I’m on vacation when I put it on. It’s totally luxurious. Luv is the scent for which I was able to test all three products. I’m glad that I like the Luv scent – it is quite close to one of my favorite fragrances, Kuumba Made Pikaki Lei. The Perfume Oils are long-lasting – longer lasting than perfume sprays. The Body Lotion is as rich and moisturizing as is advertised – it leaves my skin smooth and soft … it actually glistens! When I layer the lotion after having bathed using the Body Wash (which, by the way, offers creamy lather and gorgeous bubbles), I feel especially pampered.

I will be purchasing the full size lotion and body wash in the Soul scent. I can’t wait for my nightly Island vacation!

Retail Price: $42 for 1/8 oz. of the Perfume Oil, $24 for 8 oz. of the Body Wash , $27 for 8 oz. of the Body Lotion. (SharonBoltonScents.com)
