What They Say: (about the Shower Gel) "This sumptuous gel produces a light foam with water, to gently wash the skin while carefully maintaining its pH. It leaves the skin soft, fresh and delicately perfumed." (about the Body Lotion) This silky fluid with a more concentrated trail, smoothes, moisturizes and softens the skin divinely. It is absorbed instantly allowing one to get dressed right away." (about the general fragrance) "A seductive new fragrance for women, Armani Code Pour Femme is a fresh, sexy, feminine blend of zesty blood orange, ginger, and pear sorbet softened with hints of sambac jasmine, orange blossom, and lavender honey, warmed with precious woods and vanilla."
Toya’s Take: The shower gel lathers nicely and rinses well, leaving my skin feeling clean and fresh. However, the scent of the products is so overwhelming that I immediately wanted to take another shower. From the description, I would expect the products to smell soft and feminine, but it doesn’t at all. In fact, when I first opened it, I thought I was sent the male version of the fragrance by mistake. It is very, very strong. The lotion has the same heavy scent and really only works as another layer of fragrance – it’s too thin to do much moisturizing at all.

DeLush Rating:
for each – the scent is cloying

What They Say: "Seduce the senses with an intriguing orange flower note with fresh ginger accents and the caress of honey-sandalwood accord creating an unforgettable and captivating new encounter. A woman's mysterious code of seduction revealed."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: This is definitely a WOMANLY fragrance. Nothing cutesy or tripping-among-the-daisies about it. That, of course, doesn't mean it isn't intriguing and wonderful, which in my opinion it is. And I'm actually surprised I'm saying that. When I first smelled it I was a little unsure about the forthrightness, the boldness of the scent. It's definitely more-suited for fall and winter because of its complexity and fullness.
Here's the thing with this fragrance: Don't spray more than one or two spritzes TOTAL on yourself. That's ALL you'll need. Personally, I'm not really in love with it for the first hour after I've applied it. It's quite spicy/peppery and a little strong. But after that, when the top notes wear off a bit, it turns into a really sultry, powdery spiciness which is easier on the senses. And at that point, I like it a lot.
This would be a great fragrance to spray once into your hair at the back of your neck and just let heat through the day with your body to give a hint of mystery. If you like fragrances that make a statement and feel powerful and womanly, this may be for you.
Retail Price: $52.50 (Armani online and select department stores)
